Jungle Dreams 2

The joy ride I had mentioned in my earlier blog was to Kolkata for a press event. And my my did it rain or did it rain? This was last weekend. Kolkata experienced torrential rainfall of over 300mm in a span of 72 hours, the city was under 3 feet water for two solid days. But anyway we had more or less a successful press interaction. Our arrival back in Delhi was that of winners as we had not only beaten the bad weather but also had managed to beat the arch rivals Pakistan in a nail biting finish in cricket. Although we were on the flight and missed all the fun but the captain kept us informed.

Anyway Delhi brought a new set of anxiety for us as we came back to the final moment of kicking off a conference in Delhi. But my excitement for going to Corbett after three years still knows no bound and had the most funniest of dream which I would like to share. Here we were in a flooded Corbett national park with leopards in size of tigers! I woke up in cold sweat and remembered I had to collect the bouquets from the florists and reach the venue at 8.45 to save the day. So my day dreaming and excitement needs to be abated as soon as possible...Corbett here I come. So much for multi-tasking!

Dear,Friend
Kinnaur is a breath takingly scenic and sparsely populated region. Spiti and Satluj rivers flow through Kinnaur to

meet at Khab and become one the Satluj. Scores of flowing streams feed these rivers and all their valleys are

strikingly beautiful the slopes are covered with thick woods, orchards, fields and picturesque hamlets. Here are two

of the world's great mountain ranges the Zanskar and the Great Himalaya.Sumdo is the last Kinner village on this

road i.e.NH-22 whereafter the SH-30 starts leading into Spiti Valley. The total length of road from Shimla is 355

Kms whereas Shimla is another 385 Kms from Delhi.
