Happy New Year!

Yes dear friends I have done it! My only resolution has been honoured. I am totally ecstatic, over the moon etc. etc.
The new year has started with a 'big bang' for me. I have indeed mastered the art of knitting socks on double pointed needles or dpns. My knitting blues have disappeared thereafter. Now I am on a roll.

I admit the first pair resembled a cross between a sock and a glove or a 'slove' as I completely did not get the mysterious gusset decrease but this second pair a gift for my father in law did fit him like a 'sock' indeed. And my joy is endless at this achievement. Although I have miles to go and do the seamleass toe up sock as well as start using the magic loop as well as knit a pair on the magic loop at once, but now I am confident that I will get there soon as well. Thanks dear readers for your encouraging words and contribute to my small dreams. The first pair my best friend has readily accepted as a humble gift and she is very haapily keeping her feet warm in the cold Delhi winter chill with my one and only pair of 'sloves'. After all it was indeed a labour of 'love'.

The internet was an amazing experience, I learnt the entire process through internet, I have a host of wonderful knitters to thank, firstly http://www.knitting-socks.com/how-to-knit-socks.html. It's a gold mine of information for first time knitters like me. Well now if I can, you too just about do anything you want to. So go grab a hobby today!
