Cello Kebab |
Kolkata's Park Street boasts of eclectic mix of cuisines from all over the world and a close favourite for everyone is Peter Cat. Peter Cate set shop in the 1970s with a hoast of platters from the Mediterranean region. This was Kolkata's first 'dekkho' with the region in food terms. The foodies of Kolkata lapped it up and any special occasion made it mandatory to visit Peter Cat to make it memorable. Although now a days we do have "Mainland China" and "Oh! Calcutta!" vying for attention and at times gaining at it but the Cello Kebab of Peter Cat is a thing of which memories are made of. Once you have bitten into the butter and rice mouthful and checked out the first morsel of the silken sheek kebab you are smitten for life. So, whatever the occasion we are ready to wait outside in ques and be patient for our turn.
Rest becomes a gastronomic history! End of it you are one happy foody just like me! Do make it a point of making your own the next time you visit the "City of Joy"!
