Fantastic January 2010!

Yeah yeah I know! Have been away for much too long, but what to do? It has been quite a busy busy social life for a while. But here I am with an update. The best thing being two dear friends finally tied the proverbial knot. Here the sweet couple in traditional Bangali Wedding wear. Red signifies prosperity, luck and love.

Woolly Dreams
Last but not the least Suparna sent me the warm claret wool from Delhi. So my stash here grows. Kolkata simply does not have a good yarn store. But that is understandable, after all it is hot here for over 10 months a year, so who needs yarn any which way? Well, it looks like some mad person like me still does. Thank you so much Suparna for taking the trouble to send me the yarn. Much appreciated and a special hand woven pair of warm socks will be ready for your forth coming US trip.
So what have you been doing the whole one month this new year? Do drop a line. Missed you my friends.
P.S. By the way Dad's sweater is almost done!

I had been to a Konkani Christian wedding recently, and its so much fun (my first non-Bengali non-South-Indian wedding).
BTW, I have a feeling that people tend to spend too much on a wedding. If I have it my way, I won't even throw a party. The money I save, if I have it my way, I'll spend partly on the honey-moon, and partly on charity.
