Summer Fashion

With the mercury rising to 42 degrees in Delhi I have resorted to wearing saris. This is the only attire which can beat the current heat wave I have found. The silver lining is that without much thought I have got a new look as well am feeling less guilty about my stash of saris tucked in the wardrobe. Now whenever I succumb to the temptation of picking up the 6 meter wonder from a shop I would definitely feel less guilty! And the best part is I can deeply appreciate the beauty of our artisans who have been skillfully weaving this magical attire for ages in India. Here I am sporting a south cotton sari with hand block print. The motifs are drawn from tribal themes. If that is not unity in diversity what is?

You definitely remind me of my math teacher ( in a good way ofcourse!) You do wear them nice dear, very summery. Me, I always find it hard to manage cotton sarees, they crumple so easily. I think my dislike stems from needing to wear garish blue cotton sarees in school (definitely NOT fashionable) Saw ur pics in orkut and left comment! Now all you need is "Daddy Cool" playing the background!

Yes, just like my hubby hates kurta - pyajama as growing up in Santiniketan that was the school uniform for high schoolers. Moreover garish blue is probably not everyone's fashion mantra anyways.
