Weekends and happy days
Well for me weekends start around 12 noon every Friday and I am ready to clear my head for the week. I am ready to live life on my own time being active and inactive at the same time. Friday is when you are wrapping things for the week and trying to get the most of it in terms of productivity and then by the evening I am so ready to be unproductive it is not funny. Friday is for partying doing anything you want, you dance, you frolic or simply have a great chit chat and catching up with friends over some drinks.
Saturday morning brings idyllic leisure time (really sad if you are working on Saturdays), for me it starts with lots of reading, ideating (yeah right "id what?") and generally meeting friends or just get drunk and wile your afternoons away...this is the day in the week. which I definitely sooo don't want to end. It's probably the best day of the week. I remember in College we were told to make it the most productive day by spending it in the high echelons of British Council Library or National Library and soo we started doing that and then found that our minds were fried by afternoon. So we decided Saturday mornings could be dedicated to intellectual endeavours but thereafter we needed some fun and it has stuck to me through out my life. Nowadays it is also about my pet, Whitey. As she has to stay with our erstwhile neighbours during the rest of the week (as both of us are away good ten-twelve hours every day) Saturday Whitey and us have this great fun day with activities that she loves and also does not like the bath but she has to comply anyway.
Even God rested on Sunday, so Sunday is for a brunch in the bed and reading the weekend newspapers and catching up on shows or films on the entertainment console. And by evening Whitey has to go back to her week house and we have to have a dinner with friends or catch a movie somehwere otherwise be simply lazy and watch the sun set over the Vasant Kunj skyline.
Cheers to everybody's weekend!
